Official statement on the result of the UK European Union membership referendum

Yesterday, on the 24th of June 2016, the people of the United Kingdom decided in a referendum to withdraw its membership from the European Union (also known as Brexit). London Pictures Limited recognises that this result was democratically decided and that it is the majority will of the British people to leave the EU.

In acknowledging this decision, however, London Pictures Limited wishes to state that it remains fully committed to working with our existing European partners on all our existing projects and will continue to invest in new European co-production projects for many years to come. The future may seem a bit uncertain at this time, but it is business as usual at London Pictures Limited and we will always be receptive to working with European talent regardless of background or country of origin in order that we can bring the best stories to the cinema screen. London Pictures Limited respectfully requests the UK Government, for the sake of the entire UK Film Industry, secure the best possible trade agreement with the EU so that British film production companies will continue to have access to the Digital Single Market and the EU MEDIA Programme fund.
